On April 9, 2026, KBK Accounting and Brand & Partner co-hosted a webinar titled “Environmental Fees and Other Non-Tax Levies: What to Expect?”

The deadline for filing reports and paying the environmental fee is April 15. Not only manufacturers but also virtually all importing companies are required to report on the disposal of goods and packaging, as well as calculate and pay the environmental fee if disposal standards are not met. During the webinar, we discussed which reporting forms must be submitted and what nuances to pay attention to when preparing them, how to calculate the environmental fee, and where to obtain the data for the calculation.

We also discussed the pilot program for importers bringing in goods from countries outside the EAEU, detailing which types of goods and packaging are subject to the new rules and what companies participating in the pilot program should do. It was originally scheduled to end in 2025 but has been extended to 2026-2027.

In addition, we discussed a new non-tax payment – the technology fee – which will be introduced on September 1, 2026. The technology fee will be paid by organizations and individual entrepreneurs that import or manufacture electronic components or certain types of industrial products.
